In this exclusive experience, guests will get a behind the scenes tour of our extensive collection. Director Ross Brakman will be your guide, highlighting items not mentioned in the automated tram ride tour, allowing guests off the tram for a closer view and facilitating Q&A.
Guests will get an up-close and personal view of the classic car collections, literally looking under the hood of some of our most exceptional vehicles, and a closer view of the interiors. Similarly, get a special look at the inner-workings behind band organs, and a demonstration of some music boxes that are not played for regular visitors. The tram ride will stop throughout the museum for an up-close view of the items that interest you most accompanied by additional information. Guests are encouraged to ask lots of questions!
Conversation topics will be influenced by your personal interests, but here are some of our favorite topics to cover; mechanics and history of animatronics, movie & circus memorabilia, mechanical music history and development, history of local interest items from Oaks and Philadelphia such as Mummers costumes, original store signage and masks from Collegeville Costume Shop, historic holiday displays from Macy's and Lit Brothers, and national brands that started locally such as Slinky, Peeps, and Pep Boys.
Limited seats are available to keep this event as personal as possible. Get your tickets now while supplies last!
